One-to-One Musical Support

​​

​

Through personalised health budgets, Quench Arts can offer those eligible a series of bespoke, one-to-one creative music making sessions, helping participants to:

​

  • Develop artistic and personal skills through creative music-making activities, with support for individual progression.

  • Feel less isolated, having the opportunity to connect with others with shared interests and experiences.

  • Improve their sense of wellbeing through music-making which addresses the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ and ‘Ten Ways to Look After Your Mental Health

  • Show improved resilience, confidence and self-worth.

Our music sessions are focused on creative music making, working with people to create new, original music and songs and enabling them to express their thoughts, feelings and emotions. We have a fantastic team of highly experienced music leaders, all talented artists who, between them, have a range of music specialisms & interests.

Musical Connections Network

​

​

As well as offering one-to-one support, there may be an additional option, funding dependent, to join the wider Musical Connections network to access regular group music sessions, social opportunities and gigs. This network has been hugely successful in connecting people socially, addressing the isolation many members face.

Background

Quench Arts is a local community music organisation with a strong history of engaging disadvantaged individuals to take part in creative music-making. We have built a strong evidence base regarding the benefits of music making for wellbeing, to aid recovery and build resilience focused on the Five Ways to Wellbeing and Ten Ways to Look After Your Mental Health. Our Musical Connections project has been highly commended in the Art, Mental Health and Wellbeing category of the National Positive Practice Awards (2015) and was a shortlisted 2016 National Lottery Good Causes Awards finalist.
